I applied online. I interviewed at GT Group (Cyprus) in Jan 2026
Interview
It was a three-part process. The first step was a TestGorilla assessment, which I completed in full. The second step was an HR interview with fairly basic questions. The third step was an informal chat with an engineer who did not appear to have a computer science background and mentioned previously working as a waiter, without holding a relevant degree.
Overall, the interview process did not seem very thorough, and the interviewer appeared surprised when I asked for a salary above the minimum wage. It is disappointing to see such low salary offers for engineering roles.

Your organization is switching from Windows to Linux. Previously, you used Microsoft Office to create documents, slides, and so on. However, Microsoft Office is not available for Linux.
What software should you use instead?

How can students get documentation about Linux system calls without internet access?
You have launched a backup server with enough storage to host backups for all of your important data. You created gzipped tarballs of the data, and now you want to transfer the backup to the backup server.
How can you accomplish this?
You want to protect users against credential bruteforcing by making sure that users have strong passwords.
What should you do to ensure users choose strong passwords?

Interview
Below Average interview process.
We sustained a conversation kind of "chit-chat" that could lead to nowhere. I had to wait for more than 50 minutes before the process started.
They had the job ad post for more than 1 year (probably nobody is considered "qualified" enough to get hired.
