      Interview

Asked about management expectations and what you know of the position. How you can help customers become new hobbyists. Helps to have a passion for the brand. There is an emphasis on problem-solving and solutions you had when faced with challenges.

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Games Workshop

      Interview

The interview process was a quick 30 minute video call and the interviewer was nice but I don’t think the questions or engagement was really there. I felt that the interview fell really flat and awkward at times. I didn’t really gain anything positive from the experience either.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Games Workshop (Savannah, GA) in Sept 2024

      Interview

Prior to my third and final interview, where I was asked to present a 30/60/90 business plan with no idea of the internal working of this organization, everything was fine. My interview, as the others, started off quite well. I was joking with the interviewers and preparing to begin, my presentation went relatively smoothly. That's when it turned immediately sour. A third panelist (who had not been present for either of my previous interviews and spent half the time playing catch up) proceeded to absolutely grill me on every word of my presentation, When asked, "Say you have no community feedback. Say other people are busy. What would you do to engage?" I provided an answer relative to the recent drop of Space Marine 2 and said I would incorporate a recent launch as a talking point with customers. After this point, The Third Man spent the next 20 minutes absolutely hammering every single thing wrong with my presentation. How do I know you don't do x for marketing when you don't say this? Why do you seek to set no expectations to watch people fail to address what you want to hear? I made it a big point to talk about inclusivity and how I have been pushed out of the space repeatedly due to being a woman. I was told several times I would need to "set the expectation", implying I am unable to run a store when I've run much bigger stores in the past. I was told, essentially, my entire presentation didn't matter. After The Third, New, interviewer was done berating me, he muted and turned off his camera while another man proceeded to drill me on the basics of a Warhammer game. At this point, it was a slap in my face. How dare you. This is why women don't want to be involved. Very boys club-esque, misogynistic people with disturbing hiring practices.
