2 rounds of interviews - I had a very disappointing interview experience with Gap. The hiring manager joined the interview late, which immediately set the tone. Throughout the conversation, they appeared disinterested and disengaged, offering minimal insight into the role or team.
What stood out most was the dismissive communication style. Rather than discussing the position constructively, the manager spoke in a way that implied I wouldn’t enjoy the job, instead of asking thoughtful questions or explaining expectations. It felt less like a two-way conversation and more like they had already decided the outcome.
Interviews reflect a company’s culture, and unfortunately this experience came across as unprofessional and discouraging. I left feeling that candidates’ time and interest were not valued.
