I applied through university. I interviewed at Gap (Mandeville, LA) in Oct 2018
Interview
One of the managers interviewed me at the neighboring Barnes and Noble. She asked me questions about my past retail experience and gave me a couple scenario questions. She then took me to the store and gave me the task of putting together an outfit for a young adult going to a concert. Once I was done, she critiqued the outfit and gave me some tips.
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
