      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Washington, DC) in Oct 2019

      Interview

The interview process was made as stress-free as possible, and the recruiters are so nice. There are three separate interviews, but the first is really getting to know who you are. Make sure to be very clear and concise.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you stay organized? What does your typical day look like
      Answer question

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Washington, DC) in Sept 2019

      Interview

The interview process was quite lengthy. The questions are behavioural based to see how your past experiences/your personality fits with the job description to determine whether you're suited for this job. They want you to use the STAR method to answer questions. You should have good knowledge about the company as well as the position you're applying for.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Fort Myers, FL) in June 2019

      Interview

I submitted my email into their college recruitment page online and was contacted about an online info session that Gartner was having for my university. I attended and afterward reached out to the recruiter and that was how I was put on their radar at first. The process was pretty long and difficult (I had been passed through a few phone screens for other roles as well but ultimately was put through for this role), but everyone that I talked to gave great insight on how to prepare for the next stages. For the CES role, I had an initial phone screen with my recruiter (~20 min), then a phone interview with the recruiter (~45 min), a phone interview with 2 hiring managers (~45 min), and finally a panel interview onsite with a manager and director (~1.5 hours). All the questions I was asked throughout the entire process were behavioral so make sure to pull from your experiences, use the STAR method, and match them to the traits they want to see in the role (good communicator, organized, feedback-driven, etc.). Most of the interviews were pretty standard, they asked you questions, gave you a chance to ask them questions at the end, and then provided some quick feedback. The panel interview was the most difficult. I had to prepare a powerpoint presentation about myself and why they should hire me, answer behavioral questions, and also do a web walkthrough of a website of my choice. It seemed like a lot overall for an entry-level role, but I feel so prepared for any interview process I will go through in the future, and also for the role. Everyone is super nice and want to see you succeed in your interviews. Your recruiter will also be with you every step of the way and will answer any questions and give you tips to prepare for your next step. Don't be afraid to really sell yourself to them and highlight your strengths!
