I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Austin, TX)
Interview
Very unhappy with the way recruiters are at Gartner. I have been reached out to at least 3-5 Gartner recruiters over the past few years. A lot of the times they are horrible at communication and do not respond.
This time around a recruiter reached out to me, I accepted the conversation. I was moved to a senior recruiter who was suppose to be on camera with me, but she was not. I was expected to be on camera staring at a blank screen, this was extremely odd to me, but continued th interview and thought it went well.
I had to follow up 4 days later to get feedback and nexts steps, to which I received a generic response that they were moving on with other candidates. Without even an interview with the hiring manager. This was also odd.
The recruiter gave no feedback, and when I asked for feedback, I did not receive a response, which I also thought was odd.
This process was not a great experience.

Question 1
Tell me why Gartner.
Why leave your current role?
Quota and achievements in previous roles?
Quite a long process - well organised and mapped out with several behavioural questions taking majority of the time. Overall I found the process very different to previous companies with Gartner very keen to show you are following their prompts in the prep material.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner
Interview
Recruiter reached out, then joined the call with a completely disinterested demeanor from the jump. This person was recently at a different company and clearly not accustomed to enterprise sales.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (London, England) in June 2025
Interview
The first few rounds were very informative and mainly covered my background to ensure I was a suitable fit for the role but I eventually decided to pull out of the process and commit to other options.
