I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gartner (Stamford, CT) in Feb 2011
Interview
Gartner is a funny place. I enjoyed meeting the several people I interviewed with and it was a long day. When i wrote thank you notes a few days later only a couple of the people i met replied. Basically, the job went to a friend of one of the people I interviewed with which apparently is a trend at Gartner as almost everyone in the department knew each other before working at Gartner. So my advice is to network into this place if you are really interested in a job there. Experience and Education does not necessarily matter. Connections with people there does.....

Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner in May 2026
Interview
30 minute phone call with recruiter. Next is 1 hour with recruiter about your background, behavioral questions. Then 1 hour with LSA with questions on your background and a role play.
HR is very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. It can be a little confusing how they structure and and label their position but easily cleared up when talking in first rounds. They are professional and get back quickly. Overall a very positive experience.
