      Product Development Engineer Interview

      13 Jan 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at General Motors (GM)

      Interview

The interview process was very typical. Starts off with a generic phone interview. The next step is a virtual pre-recorded question interview where you answer questions on video, then submit. The last step is a virtual interview with actual managers. The Managers were friendly but the interview focused to much on what I had done, as someone who had yet to graduate college, rather than what I could do. I can't help that I didn't get the opportunity to do a bunch of crazy engineering tasks in undergrad.

      Product Development Engineer Interview

      5 Oct 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) in Sept 2016

      Interview

Talked briefly to a recruiter at a career fair. Left my resume and got a call to schedule and interview the next day. Interviewer started by asking me why I wanted to work at GM. Then I was asked three basic behavioral interviewing questions. At the end I had plenty of time to ask questions. This was a "preliminary interview." I was told that if I was selected, there would be a second on-site interview with hiring managers.
