Interview
I was to have a presentation with the Department Head and a Team Lead, as a first phase. After this I was to have an interview with HR, as well as with the incoming Department Head. I was scheduled for a day that I was on Holidays. After HR realised this we had a brief conversation via our company chat tool, before I went home to pack. I never received a formal invite to the interview, as is the common practice so that it appears in your calendar. There was a miscommunication on which week, and I missed my video interview. I was not permitted to reschedule, even after the first one had gone very well. I was told by colleagues that HR doesn't take kindly to complaints, and often screws up scheduling. Very dissapointing.

Our coordination team always try to work around the candidate's schedule and accommodate their needs as closely as possible. For example, we never schedule an interview on the recruiting calendar without first receiving confirmation from the candidate. We also follow up at least twice with candidates when we are waiting for interview confirmation. Following this structured process allows us to be thorough and to ensure that there is no miscommunication or errors.

The interview process takes too long in my opinion. Too many interviews and on one day you have an Interview with the Head of CS and a current Team Leader for 1 hour and immediately after a Culture Fit interview of 30 minutes.
