I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goodman Jones (London, England)
Interview
Two stages, one with the director and another with an assistant manager and partner. Both were undertaken online, but normally the second would be in person. The first was a general CV review with the second being more technical with examples of common day-to-day occurences.
One interview with audit partner and audit manager. More conversational which is a nice approach. Surprisingly light on technical questioning though. Took a surprisingly long time to say the outcome when they claimed to want a speedy process.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your interview experience with us. We’re pleased to hear that you appreciated the conversational approach—it’s something we aim for to make candidates feel comfortable and to foster genuine dialogue.
We understand your concerns regarding the technical questioning and the timeline for providing an outcome. While we strive for a speedy and transparent recruitment process, there are occasions where unforeseen delays may occur as we aim to ensure we make the best decision for both the candidate and the firm. Your comment is valuable, and we will take it on board as we continue to refine our interview and communication processes.
We’re grateful for your insights and wish you all the best in your career journey.

Interview
I interviewed for the graduate trainee position at Goodman Jones. I applied online with a cover letter and my CV and was invited to a video interview with an assistant manager and a manager from the firm. The Interview was very relaxed with a conversational, rather than interrogatory, tone.
