Greenhouse Software Manager, Customer Support interview questions

Everyone was exceptionally kind and welcoming, from the recruiter that contacted me proactively on LinkedIn down to everyone that I interviewed with. I had an on-site that lasted about 3.5 hours. They of course use their own product during the interviewing process to reduce bias during the process. It's an admirable goal, but to be completely honest, it's an oddly stilted way to interview for a position. They will ask less traditional interview questions, then type notes and score your answers in real time on their laptops in front of you. It's more akin to someone administering a lie detector than a one on one interview. I appreciate their efforts to even the playing field, but I'm not positive that making the process more awkward and less personable is the best way to do this. If there is no "flow" or exploration of a candidate's unique experience, then there won't be many candidates that feel that they can really put their best foot forward.

I didn't make it too far in the interview process so I'm only reviewing the initial recruiter screening call. They reached out to me to set up a call, which was really nice :)
