I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grinding Gear Games (Auckland, Auckland) in July 2020
Interview
Very straight forward. Asked me what softwares I am primarily using. How long it takes for me to finish a task and what my work experiences are like. It was very easy.

Interview
The interviewer asked me about my experience and got a standard coding interview. Overall it was relatively standard as far as interviews go. Got to hear about the company and demo project work

Question 1
Can you tell me about this project you've been working on?
I applied online. I interviewed at Grinding Gear Games
Interview
Interviewer seemed disinterested, but was possibly having a bad day. Would ask questions about projects I've worked on but then didn't seem interested in any answers I gave. Seemed a little overconfident in their knowledge about certain topics and was a little 'splain-y. They didn't give any satisfying answers to basically any of my questions around goals, work/life balance and stress. Things at GGG seemed pretty disorganized in general. The engine seems designed around very dated technology and pipelines. Might be a good job for someone nostalgic for the early 2000s.
