Had my process for senior software engineer (iOS) in Berlin started , at first an HR interview then two technical screening interviews, then a whole day onsite. The onsite interview had only one technical part which was fine, all of the technical interviews were okish in general and nothing extraordinary. There were other 4 interviews onsite plus lunch , mostly managerial and speaking about processes and product including a "Bar Raiser" interview which wasn't that meaningful. IMO the last 4 interviews could have been easily merged into one hour interview as they were all similar more or less and of course save both of our times. I was promised by the manager to have a proper feedback in a week and when I wrote to the recruiter afterwards he even told me it might be earlier. from there a horrible experience started, the recruiter didn't get back to me three times on promised deadlines he set, he even on one time wrote that I am accepted and that he should call within hours or couple of working days maximum, which didn't happen till more than 14 days and after exchanging more emails and getting more promises to come back earlier, in the end the base offer was less than I earn by 10% and on a lower level of job level, with no apparent reason or feedback given. I am very grateful that I have a good job already and was just looking for a faster career progress and different scope, my thoughts goes to those who are jobless or actively looking to change their job and would definitely feel very bad from the experience.
