I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Guidewire (Dublin, Dublin) in Sept 2025
Interview
The role was pitched as junior-level with salary expectations to match, but the interview was conducted as if I was applying for a senior-level role. This is misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch.
The job description emphasized familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Git. Yet I was rejected for lacking deep expertise. The requirements and evaluation criteria were completely misaligned.
HR communicated that the interview would cover basic technical concepts, but the questions were at an advanced/senior level.
The process wasted time and energy by setting the wrong expectations from the very beginning.
Overall, it felt like Guidewire is not clear internally on what they want, which makes the candidate experience frustrating and unfair.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Guidewire (Mississauga, ON) in Apr 2024
Interview
It was pretty good, not too difficult but a lot of technical oriented questions. If you're prepared to everything exposed on the job description you are 80% on the right way to succeed the interview.
