I’d done the assessment centre process for the PqIp entry and it was 3 hours long it was an assessment written and interview. It was difficult to navigate but the help from the support officers was great. I’d apply again.

How would you help a prisoner who had suffered a bereavement.

Interview
Straight forward based on behavior and strength based questions and role play exercises and presentation with scenario based questions as well and litlle presentation of topic they gave you in start
Quite long and including a range of interview areas. Security checks took around 3 months. I believe it’s now a points based system which I don’t think enables HMPPS to attract/retain the best talent.

Online Interview. Ice breaker first and then 10 questions. They were nice and let me become comfortable first and then asked the serious questions. E.g. How to deal with an aggressive offender.
