I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Halliburton (Lafayette, LA)
Interview
The interview was barely even a conversation. They needed people badly. I was called into the room with three supervisors and they hardly asked any questions for most of the interview. It was a couple hours of basically describing the job to me and talking about safety, then a short tour of the facility with a future co-worker.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you become too tired to drive while travelling to a job, what do you do?
Easy comin
In comparison to my peers, who often rely on memory, I follow a structured list for every step of our operations, ensuring that everything is filled out correctly and that each step logically leads to the next. This meticulous approach has been beneficial in maintaining the quality and consistency of our work, and I am confident that it will continue to contribute positively in a single MWD role.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Halliburton (Caracas, Capital District) in Feb 2021
Interview
Process included a technical phone screen (drilling concepts, tool knowledge), followed by a panel interview with field scenarios and safety questions. Practical problem-solving and teamwork focus. Delays in scheduling, but interviewers were supportive and industry-experienced.
