I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Halliburton (Nisku, AB) in Dec 2009
Interview
I was brought into the office for an interview when I was dropping off my application. I was asked some questions about my motivation for the position and my skills. I was told they were only hiring contractors at the time, but HR would instruct me how to set up my own corporation and the type of insurance I'd need.

I applied through university. I interviewed at Halliburton in June 2017
Interview
Simple process overall. At the time, they were hiring a ton of people so after one screening phone interview, they brought in several groups of around 6 people for on site interviews and extended offers to around half of the applicants.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Halliburton (Anchorage, AK)
Interview
The interview process was pretty simple. I got flown in to town and sat with about 6 people, who asked me very basic questions about conflict and work ethics. No math questions were asked only if I had computer experience in excel and word. I was picked up by the town coordinator which was nice, so they picked me up at the airport and dropped me off too!

Question 1
The most unexpected question was if I had ever received a DWI. This is a big one for this position, don't get one!
