I had an extremely frustrating experience with the hiring process for a Process Engineer position at Harmac Pacific. The process dragged on for over three months, only to end with an email from HR stating that the role was never fully approved by the CEO. This was a complete waste of time.
During this process, they requested four referrals, which I provided, yet despite this level of commitment on my part, the hiring manager stopped responding altogether. Instead of direct communication from the team I interviewed with, I received a vague email from HR about internal restructuring. If the company was unsure about hiring in the first place, they should not have strung candidates along for months or wasted the time of both applicants and their professional references.
The lack of transparency and accountability in their hiring process is disappointing and unprofessional. I would strongly advise job seekers to think twice before investing their time in Harmac Pacific’s recruitment process.
