I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hasbro in July 2024
Interview
I recently went through Hasbro's interview process for a manager-level position, which consisted of four stages: a phone interview with HR, two video calls with the hiring team, and a final round with an SVP. While the process wasn’t particularly challenging—mainly focused on motivations, ambitions, and a few behavioural questions—the team was transparent about the slower pace, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional.
However, there were some concerning aspects. The interviewers mentioned several times what they didn’t like about working at Hasbro, which made it feel like they weren’t trying to "sell" the company. This was odd, but I remained motivated due to the company's reputation. The most surprising part came with the rejection email, which stated that my master’s degree (mistaken for an MBA), ambitions, and desire to socialise at work meant I was "two steps ahead" for the role. It’s puzzling that ambition and openness to growth were framed as negatives, especially for a management position.

Question 1
The questions covered various topics, including my motivation for the role, career ambitions over the next five years, and how I would handle internal disagreements, along with a few behavioural and situational prompts.
