I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Health & Wellness Compounding Pharmacy (Nashville, TN) in June 2020
Interview
I came in twenty minutes early but when I got there I got very ill (I have a chronic condition that flares up occasionally,) after the flare up ended, I came out to see my interviewer chatting with a patient and completely ignoring me. I politely waited for their conversation to end, and he apparently didn’t see me (in my bright green outfit) enter the room and stand next to him since he started to leave. I cleared my throat and he then noticed me. We entered his office and he closed the door (a red flag), he then asked how I was feeling since he was told by his daughter - who worked for him (another red flag)- that I was sick. I told him that I’m fine and I just had a flare up, and I assume he felt the need to act like a doctor because he asked me “what have you been doing for that?” I told him I take medication every day but that doesn’t mean I can’t still get flare-ups that only last a couple of hours. He then proceeds to try and explain my condition to me, I get that he’s a doctor, but he wasn’t a gastroenterologist and wasn’t MY doctor, so I cut him off telling him that I know what my condition is. He just brushed me off and re-started his explanation using pseudoscience, and proceeded to tell me that I needed to stop taking my medication and start taking the medicines he made and that my doctor is wrong (four red flags in quick succession). He then proceeds to offer me a job. Entirely fed up with this, I told him I was no longer interested in the position and he says “oh I get it, sweetie, you wouldn’t be able to handle it.” What I told him was “It’s not that.” He then asks me to elaborate but I don’t because I had to stay professional. I then later found out he only exclusively hired pretty young women and that harassment is a common complaint amongst former employees.

Interview
Great people and great company. Called and did a quick phone interview. Then was invited to come in for a one-on-one discussion. They had me back one more time to offer me the position. The process was fairly easy and the company is fun to work for.
