I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Hologram Sciences (Boston, MA) in Mar 2023
Interview
1. 45 minute video interview with VP of People 2. 30 min in-person round with EA CEO followed by 45 minute with VP of People 3. 45 minute values video interview with a panel of 3 leaders across org followed by 30 minute video interview session with member of CPO Email communication was pretty delayed. To their credit, they are very small and super busy. I wasn't expecting them to be able to respond right away but it still made my experience as a candidate a little anxiety-inducing. I always felt really good leaving the conversations and then gradually more unsure about how they felt about me as more and more time went on. On severak occasions I was told to expect a follow-up on x date but I wouldn't hear back for another 3-4 days after x date. It was a lot of me having to follow up on my follow-up emails. I was really bummed because each stage was about a week apart so I was in the interview process for about 6 weeks and in the end, they rejected me with an automated email sent from their ATS. I asked for additional feedback and was ignored. The job market is so harsh right now, I really just wanted to know if they could offer something constructive so that I could move on from that interview process having gained something I could use toward my job search. In the end I felt like they tried to 'keep me warm' in case their Plan A or B didn't accept the offer. I felt a little strung along which was disappointing because I genuinely liked everyone I met. I think the people are nice and they are doing something very interesting but they need to invest in candidate experience.
