Real Estate Agents in the State of Ohio are required to place their license with a broker and the brokerage must be chosen prior to taking the Real Estate exam.
Interview & tour with office broker. Brokerages are recruiters so they are always looking for more agents. The agent is interviewing the broker - not the other way around.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Howard Hanna (Virginia Beach, VA) in July 2015
Interview
Met with recruiter after a presentation in RE class. Very nice and good follow through. Was a casual meeting and the focus was really on what office was a good fit geographically, as well as which manager might be the best fit for my personality. Recruiter was friendly and interested in getting to know my personality, and offered advice on how to further my real estate career.
