One call to introduce myself and discuss my background, followed by a call to learn more about the position so I could work for an external company.
The call was made from London to Canada; video wasn’t an option, and the connection was very poor. I did my best to understand, and we managed to have a conversation. At the end of the call, Alex Goodall told me he would send me the job description and that I should send him my resume. Three weeks later, I still haven’t heard from him; he’s not responding to my follow-up email; he’s ghosted me for no apparent reason. This is really unprofessional; we’re not teenagers and it’s a waste of everyone’s time.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hunter Bond (London, England) in June 2024
Interview
Known in the industry for taking on many interviews via Rec2Recs without the intention of hiring. Casually looking all the time. I was rejected for having too much of a 'social life'. That genuinely was the only reason as they want people here to be married to the role. My extracurriculars are sport at uni and that's it? I've since gone on since the interview to have a positive experience of recruitment at a different company that rather values your social life haha. Thought I'd note this here as the most bizarre and useless interview feedback I have ever recieved.
Phone call, general questions and explanation of the role. Explained how Hunter Bond could be a good step forward in my career, and which responsebilities I will be entrusted with.
Questions were about my degree, my grade/GPA, my current job, my current salary and bonuses, my salary expectations.
Pleasant conversation overall.
