I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ICON in June 2011
Interview
The comapny recruiter contacted me to set up a phone interview via e-mail. She was nice and talked to me as if I already had the job. It started out with her asking for me to explain my current position and why am I interested in the job. The phone interview was very straight forward. She asked standard clinical questions such as describe the difference between a stage and a grade, what does RECIST stand for and what are the major differences between the two versions of RECIST. About a week after the phone interview I recieved an e-mail notification stating that I did not recieve the job as there were more qualified candidates for the position. I assume it was because of my limited on-site monitoring experience.
Pocess of the interview was just fine. You meet the real person on third step of the interview. Every step is communicated clearly. And communication with interviewer is also good.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ICON (Paris)
Interview
I devoted a significant amount of time to responding to the recruiter’s calls and emails for an FSP position at ICON in France. After several exchanges and interviews, there was no further response: no feedback, no explanation, no follow-up.This complete lack of consideration is disrespectful to candidates and gives a very negative image of ICON France. A recruitment process reflects a company’s culture, and in this case, it does not inspire confidence or the desire to move forward.Candidates, please be cautious.

Question 1
General questions about situations during monitoring…
Phone screen with recruiter (15-20 minutes), followed by interview with 2 hiring managers at the same time. Whole process took about 3 weeks from screening to offer. Interview questions were pretty standard for the CRA position and they asked mostly situational and technical questions.
