I was excited about the opening at IFF initially. I had an email back after I had applied online to request dates for a conversation with the recruiting manager. I sent some dates and we agreed on a set time. 5 minutes before the phone interview, he emailed to say he could not conduct the interview. We finally set up a time to speak and he seemed to have limited interest in what I spoke about but did say he would pass on my information to the hiring manager. I heard nothing for well over a week. Finally the recruitment manager calls me and asks for dates to go into NYC in person with the hiring manager. I gave him dates for the following week and never heard anything. So I thought they must have found someone. three weeks later, I get another email from a recruitment assistant asking for dates in the next few days. I gave her dates and guess what - did not hear back again!! Terrible!! How does this company expect to attract the best candidates with a process like this?
