I applied online. I interviewed at IKEA in Sept 2018
Interview
It was relaxing and my interviewer Regina explained everything thoroughly. It rested comfortably between professional and casual conversation. It definitely was more on the professional side as the questions were based( at least to me) on figuring out if I was a good fit for the position and if the position was a good fit for me.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IKEA (Emeryville, CA) in June 2018
Interview
They take you to the desks section of the store and make you fill out a form and you come back when you are finished. Then they take you aside (still inside the store) and ask you a few questions. It all feels really informal and low-pressure and it just feels like they are asking because they have to and not really because they really care about what you say (in other words, it's kind of "in the bag" for you by then).
