The interview process itself was quite standard. The offices were really lovely and the staff working there seemed friendly, and I didn’t feel that I was struggling with the interview questions - they were not confusing or asked with the intention of catching you out and the staff member interviewing me put me at ease. However, the main problem was my treatment after the interview. It’s absolutely fine to not be successful for a role and I imagine it was for a good reason I was not selected, but I was really disappointed that IT Talent never actually told me and just ignored all my attempts at communication afterwards. Working in the sector, the staff should really know how disheartening it is for candidates to just be ghosted after an interview and never officially rejected, and I really expected better from a recruitment company. When I called to ask if I had been successful or not, the staff member who answered was patronising and said they would pass on my query to the right person to tell me, but again this was ignored. Although I know the interview and application itself was user friendly and professional, I would never consider applying for another role at this company. Hopefully this has improved since I applied, and you actually inform candidates if they’re successful after interview or not.
