There were a series of informal conversations - more like chit-chats. Very friendly in form, but deeply conceptual in substance. Multiple rounds of interviews/discussions, all informal.
These interviews were intellectually stimulating and required clarity of thought.

Very informal, based on the previous work experience. They tested for whether the candidate has authenticity - can he/she think originally. If you had to set up a community information center or evaluate its functioning, how would you do it?
