I applied online and scheduled a phone interview. On the day of the interview, they never contacted me saying it was canceled. I had to email them asking if the interview was still going on. They later texted me asking what time to reschedule the interview which they then ghosted me. After which, they sent me an email rescheduling a date. During the rescheduled interview, they called me and asked pretty basic questions about myself. They then had to cut the interview short as they had another call. This is a pretty disappointing interview as I heard great things about this company. Never thought they would disrespect applicants and waste my time.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ideas Collide (Littleton, CO) in Jan 2023
Interview
Process was drawn out over a few months because of holidays. First interview was with HR Director. Typical phone screen. Questions pertaining to my experience and why I might want the job. Second interview - Took a few weeks to happen, (HR gal would ask me for my availability over a certain three day period, I would say that I was completely open and then I wouldn't hear back for a week, with the excuse that they couldn't accomodate my availability. Red Flag #1. After going through this again, an interview with Biz Development guy happened. It went well. Third interview - Delayed by Christmas and another availability request followed by ten days of radio silence from HR gal - Third interview happens with Biz Dev Director and CEO. HR gal reaches out to me after the third iterview to say that they would like to fly me out to Phoenix and to give availability, which I do. Again, more HR radio silence. I send two follow-up emails (once per week) and hear nothing. At end of January, she responds to thank me for my follow up and to tell me that they decided to distribute the duties/tasks through out the Business Development department. While I won't speculate on what might have happened, - because I don't obviously know - I will say that I felt highly disrespected by this company throughout the process. From reading the other reviews, it's clear that I am not only the one whom Ideas Collide has done this to. Memo to management - Consider treating applicants with respect and not like dogs jumping through hoops. If you were to do that, your company might have better reviews here. If you are applying to this company and are presented with a request to come on-site, take that with a grain of salt.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you grow relationships with the local media if you don't know anyone in the market?
I went through 3 total interviews - all of which were group interviews with about 4 people per interview. Before my final interview I was asked to complete a homework assignment and had to walk through it during the interview. Overall, it was a pleasant process. The questions asked were actually good/meaningful, and everyone was very warm.
