I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Illumina in Jan 2019
Interview
I was referred by an employee, it took them a month to send me a link to the one-way video interview and then another 2 weeks to reject me after I submitted the video. Judging by the questions chosen for that interview, they didn't even read my resume.
I'm not sure why such a good company uses this questionable practice. As a candidate, I didn't feel respected as the company didn't think they should spend any of their time to have a meaningful conversation with me.

Secured an PMO interview through a recruiter 2 different times, all of my calls have been remote usually video. First call with HR or recruiter, then with team leader, then last is a panel of 3 or 4 teammates. Everyone has been super friendly and engaging.
