I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Illumina
Interview
I have interviewed with this company for multiple positions and have never had a positive experience. For this specific position, the first interview we scheduled a 30 minute phone call. He called me 15 minutes late and proceeded to say "we only have 15 minutes left so lets hurry". I should not have my interview time taken away because the interviewer was late. About a week later I received an email wanting to move forward in the interview process. I was given an interview schedule with 5 different video interviews, each 45 minutes and with 2 team members as the interviewers. All interviews were on the same day so that made it brutal. The first video interview was with the same individual that I had the phone call with and he showed up 10 minutes late again. In the other video interviews, it just seemed like all of the interviewers were uninterested, unprofessional, and seemed like they didn't enjoy working there. It felt like they were less interested in what I had to offer and more interested in finding out whatever weaknesses they can find and exploiting them. Felt more like I was being interrogated rather than interviewed. In the end, I emailed the company right after my interviews and withdrew my name from consideration.

The interview process was nice. I got to speak to several people who wanted to find the best position for my experience. Everyone I spoke to was very nice. It started with an interview with a recruiter and moved to people who were directly involved in the position.
