I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at In-N-Out Burger (Petaluma, CA) in Oct 2012
Interview
Fairly easy- I applied with a paper application, although now you have to go online to apply. I recommend following up and visiting the location you wish to work at and asking to speak to management directly since there are often dozens of applicants. I interviewed 1:1 with a secondary manager and was told I'd hear back in 2 weeks (which ended up being 3).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would your mom say is your worst quality? What kind of experience do you have? If a customer had a problem, how would you handle it? ...and do you play any sports?
The interview was a simple one. But it was a group interview with two other candidates. Two of us got hired so we weren't competing against each other or anything. Easygoing, straightforward.

Interview
The interview process at In-N-Out Burger was easy and straightforward. The interviewers were friendly and made the environment comfortable. They mainly asked basic questions about customer service, teamwork, and availability. My advice is to always smile during the interview, stay positive, and be proactive when answering questions. Showing enthusiasm and a good attitude really helps.
I applied online and they asked why I wanted to work at In-N-Out burger (250 character limit), They emailed me a week or two later and set a date for a interview.
