Interview
I am writing to share my disappointment with my recent interview experience for the BDR position at your company. As someone with extensive experience in sales, including a background as an Account Executive, I applied for the BDR role. However, during my initial interaction with HR, it was suggested that I consider applying for the Account Executive position first and then move to BDR if unsuccessful.
Unfortunately, my interview experience did not align with my expectations. The interview, conducted by two senior individuals, felt more like an interrogation than a constructive conversation. From the outset, there was a lack of effort to make me feel comfortable. The exercise involving a poorly explained self-explanatory paragraph further added to the confusion and discomfort.
Despite explaining my approach to securing meetings tailored to the persona and company, one interviewer persisted in asking for a 'hook,' which felt arbitrary and disconnected from the discussion. In my 7 years of sales experience, I've learned that success is about tailored strategies, not a singular 'hook.' This persistent questioning made me feel uneasy and led me to question if there were biases at play, possibly related to my ethnicity.
To compound the disappointment, I was subsequently informed that I did not qualify for either the Account Executive or the BDR role. This overall experience has left me with significant concerns about the interviewing skills of your leaders and the communication practices of your HR team.
I believe constructive feedback and a respectful interview process are crucial for both candidates and employers alike. I hope my feedback can contribute to improving your hiring practices moving forward.
Thank you for considering my application and for your attention to this matter.

Found the process quite unprofessional. Talent acquisition connectedwith me on Linkedin to discuss an AE role. Quickly into the discussion I was able to ascertain that they were looiking for a junior role focused on SMB.
Normal interview process. After last interview the company indicated to me that they would contact me the next day with a decision and feedback. They contacted me the next week with 0 feedback. Extremely unprofessional.
