I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (New York, NY) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied online , got a call from the recruiter almost the next day. The HR was very cool and quickly scheduled the first phone interview according to my availability. Next was the phone interview within couple of days . The interview was scheduled for 45 mins , however to my surprise it ended very shortly because the interviewer only asked one question ! So I must mention it was a Java based role & I prepared accordingly. But I honestly feel the interview was very unfair because I felt the interviewer only wanted to prove me wrong. The question was regarding Hash Map where I explained the whole concept of Hashmap and internal functionality of buckets, LL or tree, which led to a bit of conversation but the conversation got a little tricky. I never came across that qn during my prep phase so I assumed something with whatever knowledge I had about Maps. As soon as I said this was the answer the interviewer was convinced that I am not a fit for the role coz maybe they want people who only know that one component of hash map and nothing else to play the role. I even asked him if he has any other qns but he was just not interested after that. To keep the norm he just you can ask me qns if you have any. The call started at 11.30 and was over by 11.47. ( although it was scheduled till 12.15) . I felt that it was a joke. I mean why would you even call if you just have a judge a person with 4 yrs exp by 1 single qn in a whole big world of Java. Sad !

Question 1
There is a CustomClass C with a String variable - abc. You override .equals() to return false and .hashcode() to return abc's hashcode. Now you make 2 objects of C and add to hashmap. How many entries will the HashMap have ?
Was given a leetcode problem within the first 4 mins of the interviewer. Wish I was making this up. Interviewers did not really introduce themselves besides names, straight to the code problem. The interview felt extremely cold. No soul, no passion, no discussion
Asked very scripted questions and everyone took a lot of notes. I really enjoyed the people I spoke with and they really made me think about the role and my past

I applied online. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (New York, NY) in June 2026
Interview
Asked a few questions about C++ via a word doc. The interviewer was very rude from the beginning of the interview. He seemed to be angry at me for even being in the interview and taking his time. This person should not be giving interviews. Maybe he wanted to yell at someone who couldn't yell back. Very unprofessional, I ended the interview early because I was so upset.
