I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Johnson Construction and Development (New York, NY)
Interview
The company president will interview you. She will tell you how great a company they are. It will not take long for you to find out they are not as wonderful as they'd like you to believe. Long hours with no additional compensation. Not enough projects lined up to keep all Superintendents busy.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you available immediately? Not really anything unexpected
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Johnson Construction and Development (Victorville, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
Brief and unsatisfying interview. Clearly my age (over 60) and appearance (over weight) ruled me out the moment I entered the interviewers office. The job ad said applicant must be available in 2 weeks. As the interview started I was asked by the company president who was the interviewer if I could start tomorrow if offered the job. The remainder of the interview (total time 15 minutes) was clearly time filler on her part to just get me out of her office.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
I was asked "Can you begin tomorrow?" When I replied that I would need 10 days before I could start work, the interviewer stated that I clearly could never fit into their work culture if I could not make that kind of sacrifice. She said that I just didn't have the attitude they were looking for.
second question was: are you willing to work days and nights to finish a project? Will you work double shifts or longer if necessary to meet your schedule.
