      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Johnson & Johnson (High Wycombe, England) in June 2019

      Interview

I interviewed for the home-based role in High Wycombe, UK. The office was a little tricky to get to via public transport. The interview process itself was a bit long. It involved an introduction, a 2 person interview of competency/ technical questions for an hour. Then a presentation was given to a party of 4 for 20 minutes. Finally, a talk with the head of programming in the US for 30 minutes. It took just under half a day to complete and I was pretty exhausted by the end. In general the people were nice and friendly and the process was pretty smooth. The downside was getting to the office and the length of the process. I was offered the position but declined as I specialised in a different area they couldn’t offer.

      Question 1

How will you thrive in a remote based position?
      Answer question
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Johnson & Johnson (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

Pretty much Industry standard process. Round 1 - HR Round 2 - Technical & Hiring Manager (this was whole brigade for 7-8 people asking questions 10 mins each one by one). The problem was not with Interview but with the Salary been offered. In the first round itself i had given them my Salary expectations (which was based on the range provided in job description) and HR confirmed with me that it was well within the range. But after entire interview process they came back with 35% less then what I had asked for. It was 20% less then my current salary (I am with CRO, they won't even match CRO salary.). It was 40% less then what a employee with similar experience in the US would get. All this after the interview. SO IF YOU ARE BASED IN CANADA THEN LOOK ELSEWHERE BECAUSE THEY WONT PAY YOU ENOUGH. If you don't have budget then why bother with interview you could have clarified in the first round itself such a waste of time.
