I applied online. I interviewed at Julie Charbonneau Design (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2025
Interview
I came in for an in person interview, and was sent to a boardroom to wait for my interviewer. Once the interviewer arrived I stood to shake their hand and was greeted with a limp hand, seemed unprofessional. When walking into the office I received several stares, and felt judged by current employees- the whole experience felt very pretentious and gossipy. My interviewer had very few questions prepared for me, and seemed as if he wasn't sure why I was there- seemed like he hadn't looked over my resume at all. He then went on to boast about how expensive all of their current projects and made comments about how a lot of their employees aren't "good enough", and seemed overall to think that they were overall better than everyone else working at the firm. After they asked me their few questions they then asked if I had any questions, which I did. I asked three questions, which the interviewer struggled to answer directly or clearly, they said "that's it?". The interviewer seemed annoyed that I was taking up time regardless of the fact that I was asked to come interview for the position, and generally seemed unprepared and "over" the whole process before it began.
