      Financial Analyst Interview

      5 Feb 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Roswell, GA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kimberly-Clark (Roswell, GA) in Oct 2012

      Interview

I learned of the company and this opportunity through university recruiting and a career fair. I dropped my resume with them after stopping by their booth at the career fair and chatting with a young employee. I was then invited a few days later via email for an on-campus interview. There was a mixer the night before the interview with young employees a year removed from college and some upper level management. This is a laid back environment in which they just want to see if you can be social and keep a conversation going. The first interview was on-campus and lasted 30 minutes. This mainly consists of standard behavioral interview questions. If you have any internship or professional experience, they prefer to see you relate to those experiences in your answers. I was then selected a week later via email inviting me to interview for the second and final round on-site in Roswell, Ga. The final round consists of four consecutive interviews with different members of various divisions within KC. There is a break after your third interview, and this is when you will take a campus tour and eat lunch with some of the young employees. Within the four interviews, three are back to back with final one occurring after lunch. Three interviews are behavioral and there is one generic basic case study in which you read through many emails and pick out relevant information regarding a particular project and make a final recommendation.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you explain ROI to a non-finance person? Tell me a time when you set a goal and failed at something. What actions did you take to ensure that you would not fail in the same way again?

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kimberly-Clark (Atlanta, GA) in May 2023

      Interview

1 short Phone call with basic STAR Questions 1 in-person final round interview where we interviewed with 4 different managers. Had a lunch after 2 interviews and the whole process took around 3-4 hours. I did well in the interview but they did not like my entrepreneurial spirit outside of the 9-5 job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

We did a case study where they gave me a bunch of emails for cost analysis and why the cost of the material for paper products was going up and where we needed go to to solve the issue.

      Interview

Interviews generally followed the star method while still having a priority of general communication skills outside of knowing the star method. Friendly and open interview process and felt like I had a good idea of what to expect.
