I applied through university. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Spoke with a recruiter at University career fair and was contacted a few days later to schedule an initial interest meeting with a recruiter. We discussed goals, preferences, etc. and was then sent an application for an opening in my preferred location. The interview was 2 hours, 4 rounds of 30 minutes with people in various positions (the person who would become my boss, other practice builders, recent PEs, and recent hires). I was offered the position the following day.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was well-organized and professional. Communication with the recruiting team was clear and timely, and scheduling was straightforward. The interview itself was conversational and focused on both technical experience and overall fit with the team.
Interviewers were approachable and gave a good overview of the role, expectations, and company culture. The process felt structured without being overly rigid, and there was an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the team.

Interview
They reached out to me during college and set up a phone interview. Asked basic interview questions and were very responsive when it came to my questions. However, they wanted me for a civil position, and I wanted to purse structural so the process for me didn't progress.
Started with a phone Interview with the HR department and then it moves onto an interview with the location that it gets narrowed down to. They have locations all over.
