I applied through university. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn
Interview
A little confusing and chaotic. It was more of an initial, more informal interview with two people virtually. I had reached out about an opportunity for one of two locations, and I guess they had misunderstood or assumed I would be able to work elsewhere because they went through the entire interview, only to ask me where I wanted to work, despite telling them where from the start. They then said I would not be able to work at either location. Didn't get a formal offer yet but was encouraged to continue the process and work at other locations, none of which were close enough for my commute.
The interview process for me has been consistent, starting with open interviews, interview with regional recruiter, and interview with office you're applying for. In my most recent job application, I attended open interviews, and in the follow up 2 weeks later dismissed me as a candidate for no indicated reason.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn (Kansas City, MO) in July 2022
Interview
First, screening interview. Once interested more, they fly you or pay for your travel to interview (they treat you well). Then, you have your interview and lunch. Then the day is over.
Overall, it was okay interview. When you can follow the STAR method you will be fine for the most of the interviews. Kimle-Horn is a good company overall to work for but their interviews somehow could be challenging.
