      Senior UX Researcher Interview

      11 May 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Klarna

      Interview

I got approached on LinkedIn based on my application and there seemed to be some genuine interest and excitement about me as a candidate, which was encouraging. However, I failed the logic/aptitude test so it all ended right then and there. Felt like a waste of time and effort on my part since the test has no direct connection to the position I was applying for, it just happens to be company policy in place to weed out number of candidates for more popular technical roles. Without passing the initial test years of experience and skills that could have been assessed via more suitable tasks or portfolio review did not have any bearing in the process. This company has to seriously reconsider how they hire especially for product experience roles.
