I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Klarna
Interview
have been contacted by a recruiter. first call was pretty neat.
the take home task was quite interesting (yet not fully related to the role)
have received good feedback on the task and was invited for a video call with one of the directors.
it was an uncomfortable interview where i got mostly prompt answers to my questions (uninformative) and no detailed questions about my background or skills. interview took half of the scheduled time and ended promptly after salary expectation question.
i think from both sides it was not a fit to work together. however from my perspective, the other side could not handle this "unfit".
in the end i did not receive any feedback, despite reminder email, which i find unprofessional given the effort i put into the process.
putting Klarna aside as an employer (i see the incident rather personal), i won't be applying for a similar role there in near future.

Question 1
What is your notice period and salary expectations
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Klarna (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Jan 2025
Interview
Screening interview, then Cultural Fit in parallel with a case interview, they added a technical interview more connected to system design, then meeting other L4.5s, and offer after a few weeks. The interviews were rushed and I felt interviewers checking boxes instead of trying to establish a meaningful connection

Question 1
How to keep engineers motivated during challenging times?
During the behavioral interview the interviewer was not experienced and wasted a lot of time discussing experiences from years ago instead of more recent related experiences
I didn't push forward for the next steps in the end but I didn't get a very good impression
Solid and well run, got to meet quite a few people from the Engineering Organization. I wouldn't change anything, as this process totally met my expectations, even though it took a bit longer that I wanted it to.
