Let's just call him "Mike". contacted me about a position at Klarna. For a European startup/business they are quite big. He asked me some tech questions which he clearly didn't understand and then let me know there was a logic test I had to perform. This is typically a red flag when dealing with a company, but this is Europe and a bit old fashioned when it comes to tech. So I studied for it, as I haven't had to take one in years.
Eventually I completed the test. Then no feedback for 3 days. So I then I reached out. Then he said he would get back to me, he didn't until the following week, I told him after the effort spent taking the test I would like the results. He still hasn't gotten back to me over a week later.
I find this very unprofessional for several reasons:
-Promises were not kept (recruiter's fault), eventually he said they never release this detail, even though he didn't before
-Telling the candidates their score immediately is trivial, seeing as it's software (Klarna's obligation)
Overall, not a very positive experience. It leaves the candidate wondering what happened. A better candidate came along. Sure I get it. Wages were too high, it happens, didn't pass test. Okay I know what I have to work on. Klarna, you can do better than this. Oddly enough I would get contact again the following week about basically the same position. Kinda a face palm moment.
Also Klarna, since this was a QA Position, there is a bug in the Logic Quiz: When proceeding back it removes the user's previously selected answer if it was completed. This is a typical no no. Software should never delete the user selection.
