2 stages interview, first a face to face chat with 2 people, and then a task in the second interview. Interviews were a few days apart, and I got the outcome 2 days later.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Kondor (Christchurch, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
My first stage interview with the company overall wasn't too bad aside from asking me questions I wasn't prepared for such as budgets and sales margins, but anyone with a brain would know my previous experience from reading my CV didn't involve this. (Therefore this was merely a fun exercise for an immature employee). It was the second stage interview which from my professional experience was totally out of order and unprofessional in the way they acted towards me from when I entered the room and left. No manners or courtesy, treated me like a fired employee and worse, and this made me feel uncomfortable. I am a very articulate, outgoing and friendly person so this for me felt like being bullied in a school playground. I also had to create a presentation from scratch for the second interview which I spent allot of time on, so I would recommend to anyone applying for a position here, or a recruiter pretending there a great company, you have been warned!!!!!!!! TIP FOR KONDOR - When someone comes in for an interview, you treat people with manners and respect, make them feel comfortable. They have made the effort to come in as you have made the effort to spare time to see them, so therefore there should be mutual respect. If you don't like or want to hire a person, that does not mean you have the right to act in an awful way to that interviewee. What impression do you think your giving people if they feel like this in the interview process, BIG CHANGE is needed.
Good Afternoon,
I am sincerely sorry to hear about your negative experience and would be keen for you to elaborate on your comments. We were not recruiting for a National Account Executive in January so if you could provide me with more detail it would be invaluable. If you would be willing to do this, please contact recruitment@kondor.co.uk.
Kind Regards,
HR
I applied online. I interviewed at Kondor (Christchurch, England)
Interview
The first interview was conducted by 2 people who were already in the role I was interviewing for. No HR or hiring Managers were present. They were completely unprepared and clearly had no experience in interviewing people. They didn't really ask me questions, I had to guide the interview. They liked me though so I was invited to the next stage - giving a presentation.
I wasn't given much info for the presentation and had absolutely no feedback from the lady in HR before hand (Found out later she was a temp). There was all sorts of people at the presentation, which I hadn't been prepared for, 6 people - one of whom was a lady who'd just been hired and she clearly took a disliking to me and was quite rude. I'd made a mistake in my presentation which I pointed out to them myself, and explained that I understood why it was a mistake. There was no structure to what happened next and questions were randomly fired at me, including some really weird ones. The 'interview' part of the presentation was over within minutes. I didn't feel that I'd done badly considering the situation and didn't think too much of the mistake I had made as it was minor and I'd pointed it out myself.
At no point was the role described to me or the salary mentioned, I never found out what it was!
Two weeks later I had an email saying that I was not going to be offered the role due to the mistake that I had made. It was an appalling experience with the company, from the way HR operated (No feedback, couldn't be bothered to call me and let me know I hadn't got it, gave me absolutely no information about the interview process) to the interviewers themselves who clearly didn't know how to conduct an interview or even treat another person with professional respect. Very dissapointing and an absolute waste of my time.
