I applied online and was called and asked a few basic questions like "why do you want to work for Kroger?" Set up time for an in-person interview a few days later. It wasn't an interview so much as the hiring manager asking me what hours I was available and telling me about the position. I was hired immediately.
Interview only lasted four minutes. They told me what my salary would be, then asked if I was still interested. Set up a time for the orientation, and that was it.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Kroger (Garland, TX) in Dec 2022
