I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Gassaway, WV) in June 2013
Interview
It was a wonderful interview; like talking among friends. The interview wasn't scary, it was one on one with an assistant manager. The interview wasn't laced with trick questions. I found that this kind of interview helped build my interviewing skills.

Question 1
The most unexpected question: "What's your favorite color?" I loved this question, though. But I'll admit that it wasn't what I had planned for.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Hiram, GA) in Aug 2025
Interview
First interview was rather standard, just a set of behavioral questions and explaining the job description. I do have a second interview with the store manager so we'll see how it goes.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kroger (Fort Wayne, IN) in June 2025
Interview
The interview process was straightforward. They texted me that they wanted to interview me, along with a link to a page listing the times they had available. (The page said 3 people would interview me, but I was actually only interviewed by one.) Once I selected a time, they sent me reminders the day before and the day of the interview. When I showed up at the store, it took me a second to find someone to alert that I was there for an interview. It took around 5 minutes for them to find a hiring manager. The interview lasted only 10-15 minutes instead of the allotted 30.

Do you have any responsibilities that may prevent you from being available for shifts?

Interview
First you have to call them for a phone interview. Then, there is an in person interview. After that, there is orientation for the position you applied for. It was fairly easy.
