I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at L'Oréal in Jan 2013
Interview
Submitted an online application through the company's website. Application included multiple open ended essay questions.
Asked to phone interview, lasted about an hour. Mostly behavioral questions, some situational questions, asked about excel experience.
Invited to "A Taste of L'Oréal" Recruitment weekend in NYC. Fantastic experience, L'Oréal paid for transportation, lodging (Westin Times Square), food, etc. Programming included listening to speakers representing the different divisions of the company, an all-day case study/presentations of it, and an interview at the HQ on Sunday.

Question 1
Q: What are some things you do in your free time, and how do you balance your work and other aspects of your life?
The recruiter was late first of all, and also she literally asked me the most odd question regarding if I had a dream job which job would it be? Girl I’m applying for the job right now, there is no other job I would want. She also seemed just not interested in the interview, like what’s up with these lame recruiters? Blah blah blah, next!
It was relatively easy but they're looking for specific answers. Make sure you talk with someone who works there. They want to hear that you are curious about learning and driven.
