I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Labcare Diagnostics (Ealing, England) in June 2023
Interview
Stage 1: Competency and Behaviour
The first part focused on general competency and behaviour-based questions. I was asked about past experiences, how I had handled challenges, and examples of when I had shown initiative. It felt designed to test my problem-solving, communication, and adaptability rather than pure technical skill.
Stage 2: Technical
The second stage moved into technical questions. Depending on the role, this could be a coding exercise, a case study, or scenario-based questions. They were less about perfection and more about how I thought through problems, structured solutions, and explained my reasoning clearly.
Stage 3: Behaviour and Teamwork
The final part returned to softer skills, this time focusing on teamwork and collaboration. Here, the interviewer wanted to understand how I work with others, handle feedback, and contribute to a group setting. It was conversational and gave me the chance to show that I can not only work independently but also fit well into a team environment.
Overall, the process felt fair and balanced — it wasn’t just about what I already knew, but how I learn, adapt, and interact with others.
