Last Energy interview questions

Had several interviews with staff, which were perfectly pleasant. They all seemed to be engaged, but I had this underlying feeling of Stockholm Syndrome throughout. Eerie feeling. I did a practical exercise as well that seemed to get some good feedback. It all came crashing down when I met the CEO. The Stockholm Syndrom suddenly made sense. This guy is a nightmare. He berated me about the highest official I knew in Government, completely disregarding the fact that the Trump administration was incoming, so it didn't matter anyway. He was not focused, clearly didn't care about this interview. Would not recommend.

I went through the usual phone screen with the hiring manager, he was polite and it went well. The next interview was with a supervisor and a junior member that had just joined the company. That went very well and we had a great connection. I had the 3rd interview with the CEO. I had done the research and the rumors were not wrong. I was given a hard 15 minutes and it was he and I both talking as fast as we could to get the questions answered. Alarm bells are starting to go off. It must have went ok because I got a technical interview. This is were things really go off the rails. They put me in a small conference room flanked by 2 other engineers who didn't introduce themselves and were not friendly at all. They gave me a ridiculous problem that was basically designed to give them ideas, not test me. They recorded my screen and then at the end of the 1.5 hours I had to present my 'results' to a faceless group on the screen. I didn't even know who I was talking to. They must have not liked it because they didn't even bother to call back. This is after spending nearly 5 hours in interviews with no less than 9 different people.
