I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Learnlight (New Delhi) in Feb 2026
Interview
Interview experience: Negative
I applied for the Multimedia Specialist (Remote) role after seeing the opening on LinkedIn. The interview was scheduled quickly, and the first-round video interview itself went well. The discussion was professional, and I was able to clearly explain my background, including over 10 years of experience and work on large international projects such as the Olympics and Paralympics.
At the end of the interview, I was explicitly told that a second round would be scheduled within a week. Based on this, I reasonably expected to move forward in the process.
Instead, without any further communication or follow-up, I received a generic rejection email stating that other candidates were a closer fit. No feedback was provided, and the earlier indication of a next round was not acknowledged.
While I understand that hiring priorities can change, giving candidates clear signals about progressing and then abruptly closing the process reflects poorly on communication and candidate experience.
Interview Questions:
– General background and experience
– Previous multimedia work
– Remote work experience
Advice to Management:
Avoid setting expectations about next interview rounds unless they are certain. Transparent and consistent communication would significantly improve the candidate experience.
